The NAHC 2017 Home Care and Hospice Conference and Exposition represent the most comprehensive selection of timely, quality programs on topics designed especially for the home care and hospice industry. NAHC offers 45 education sessions during this Home Care and Hospice Conference and Exposition. Attendees can select a session from among multiple offerings in each of the nine categories offered. Most sessions are 60 minutes long. They are grouped into nine major topics across a broad range of home care and hospice issues.

Sessions by Date and Time: This section is designed to assist you in selecting education sessions that will meet your needs. Each session includes topic (track); session number; title of session; a short description; session faculty names with credentials, and affiliation.
Sessions by Topic/Category: The vast array of education programs are offered to address the specific needs of attendees. For your convenience, each session has been grouped into topics/categories.
Continuing Education for Nurses
The Maryland Nurses Association is an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation. This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Maryland Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
The approval code is N17-33-1015-1010. Nurses may earn up to 13.5 contact hours not including pre-conferences.
NAHC is also approved by the California Board of Nursing, Provider number 10810. Many states have reciprocity and will accept the contact hours for education programs.
Continuing Education for Accountants
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE sponsors (Sponsor ID #104616). In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, CPE credits are based on a 50-minute hour. CPAs may earn up to 14 CPEs credits for this group live program not including the pre-conferences. State boards of accountancy have final authority on acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Fields of Study: Fields of Study is indicated following the CPE information for all accounting accredited sessions. The CPE Fields of Study curriculum is divided into 23 subject matter areas. They are: Accounting, Accounting (Governmental), Auditing, Auditing (Governmental), Administrative Practice, Social Environment of Business, Regulatory Ethics, Business Law, Business Management and Organization, Finance, Management Advisory Services, Marketing, Behavioral Ethics, Communications, Personal Development, Personnel/HR, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Production, Specialized Knowledge and Applications, Statistics and Taxes. These fields represent the primary knowledge and skill areas needed by accounting licensees to perform professional services in all fields of employment. Prerequisite or advance preparation is not required for education sessions at the 2017 Home Care and Hospice Conference and Exposition.
Course Levels: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced
Note: To be eligible for CPEs, you must attend the entire program in order to have that program on your documentation. If you exit the session prior to its conclusion, you will not be eligible for CPE credits
Continuing Education for Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrators
The Provider/Sponsor agrees to provide individual certificates of program attendance to each individual participant, listing: sponsor name, attendee name, program title, sponsor signature, number of hours attended, and NCERS approval number. Because some states require their licensees to complete CE in specific Domains of Practice, sponsors are urged to also include the Domains of Practice covered by the program directly on the certificate of attendance. This educational offering has been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and approved for 7.50 clock hours and 7.50 participant hours. Continuing Education for Physical Therapists
Physical Therapists can earn up to 2 (CEUs) credits. Physical Therapy sessions, 212. Understanding the Scope and Practice of Therapists and 226. How to Develop a Multi-Disciplinary Pain Management Team were approved by the California Physical Therapy Association.

CE and Certificate Procedures
To obtain contact hours for this activity, the barcode on your badge must be scanned for each session you enter, and you must attend for the full duration of the session, as well as complete and submit the online evaluation.
Your registration materials will include a barcode attached to your name badge. Certificates will be available to participants following the conference.
Please note the following CE policies:
- Name badges (with barcode) must be scanned before going into a session.
- You will not be eligible for CE credits if you arrive for the session more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time.
- If you exit the session prior to its conclusion, you will not be eligible for CE credits.
- CEs will be available online shortly after the completion of the conference.
- CE certificates are available for download immediately following the conference
